Gold star vs blue-gold flag in journal

I wanted to get in my full clears for completionist sake, and I thought when you did a full clear you get a gold star where the flag was. It seems like I'm getting a flag with a blue pole and gold/starred banner, was this just a redesign or am I missing something?
