Anyone else get very confused by the final screen of 6C?
Post Body

The first few minutes I spend playing this screen, I bump one of those angry platforms going left to right, find a space to avoid being crushed, then keep on sliding down to the bottom where I realize the entire ground is spikes. There's only one diamond on the ground floor of this thing and it's way way over to the right, like there is no logical way to get this thing. My dash is going to die out way earlier than that.

So I play through that a few times and die and I'm like wtf am I supposed to do? Now, this was the only screen in any of the C levels where I didn't know what to do next. So I'm wondering if it was common sense to other people and not me or what. But I started to feel hopeless.

Then I started brainstorming. It was in 6A where Madeline first gets her double jump from her darker self. Maybe there's some hidden power up somewhere where she can regain that ability here because she clearly needs more distance for that. OR, maybe, also like in 6A, there's a place to bust through the wall or the ground and find a hidden feather to fly to the next spot. I decide that must be what the solution is. Now, there's not a lot of bare wall anywhere, it's almost entirely covered in spikes. But I found the places where the wall was bare and I tested them by colliding into it with a dash. I tested the right wall right under the angry platform, nothing there. I tested the left wall right under the bumper guy a little further down on the far left, nothing there. But there was this tantalizing space of wall a little above the bumper guy where there was a diamond where you could dash straight up to get it and come face to face with that wall. It looked like part of it was discolored a bit, like one dash would bust a hole right in that baby. But it seemed to be very VERY hard to get to. Seeing no other solution, I started at it though.

After what felt like hundreds of deaths, I finally got the perfect bounce off the bumper, dash straight up into the diamond, face to face with that left wall space, I dash left and hit...nothing but solid wall that wouldn't give. No secret passage. Took me forever to get in there, was super hard, and I did it for nothing. It's not what the devs were trying to get me to do. This kind of stunned me. I was certain. I had talked myself into that being the whole secret.

So now what?

I had ruled out manipulating the angry platform out of his left/right space early on because it just looked like everything around him was too narrow and covered in spikes, so it couldn't be that. But now, with other options ruled out, I revisted this and realized I could slip under him and punch him up from underneath, and when it worked it opened up all these new possibilities that led to getting him all the way down to the bottom where he could launch me far to the right, I got my green diamond and was off on my merry way. And of course, that was only the FIRST half of the screen but mercifully once you get to the green platform, you can start there after you die. And the second half of it was tough too, sure, but at least I knew how to proceed and I eventually got the yellow heart.

Now my question is, did you guys all go through this process the way I did, very confused and unsure what to do next? Or did some of you catch on right away that this was about getting the angry platform to come down and using him to bypass all that spiky ground at the bottom?
