Hey, I don’t know if this is where I should place this, but it’s story time buckos.

About a 5 years ago, my friend and I would get into those “adult” chat rooms that was basically a ton of bots trying to sell scams, or horny dudes saying they are 45 inches long and have the body of a god. My friend and I loved to just mess around in there, and actually had some funny conversations. I didn’t know, but he would spend time in those rooms by himself as well however. I get a text from him at 4 am one morning, and he said he got a lady. I had just gotten home from work (I was working at a pub in Ireland) and I dismissed it and went to bed.

5 months passed

“Dude I just had the best conversation with my girlfriend”

Wait. What? I asked him what did he mean? We had been playing smash bros and getting drunk, I didn’t even notice him using his phone. Then he shows me pictures of his “girlfriend” and wouldn’t you know it. I had seen her a lot on the “hub”. I am not going to say who, but it was a very well known amuture actress, and the pics were from her Instagram. I told him and he blew up on her, demanding to know what happened.

7 months later

They met in person. They dated irl. He asked her to marry him. She said yes. Turns out, she was a very sweet woman who had a facial scar that made her think no one would love her. So she catfished to feel wanted and loved. He forgave her and they are still happily married with a kid on the way. Sometimes people do bad things, but for reasons that are not as evil as we think at first. I means hey. It worked for her and my friend is not one of the happiest guys I know.
