Advice on Broken Griswold #8 Waffle Iron 889

Looking for advice on what to do with this piece I picked up last week.
I got the price down to $35 from $50 already marked at $100. Base is cracked completely (all pics, especially #6). One half of the iron is also cracked and reveals light through it (pics 2&3).
I really want this for personal use! Should I try and have those two parts repaired to some degree so I can use it? Or should I look for matching parts to replace them? Thanks!
