Hi everyone, I have been planning my build recently and have damn near given myself a ulcer overthinking thinks 😂. My main concern was cooling as I live in Texas, I don't need it to be ice cold while I sleep, but I didn't want to be laying in a puddle all night either. I was thinking of dropping the $1400 on a zero breeze, but was worried after hearing they were not very good.
Looking around more I found a Chinese company (shocker right?) that makes cooling equipment for industrial and medical applications that seen to be branching out into making small AC units for vehicles. I reached out and spoke to there customer service, who was very helpful, and found that one of the 24 volt units should be ideal for my build. It runs around 240 watts has a peak wattage of 300 watts, plus it can be wired to a thermostat.
I'm planning on using one in my build and am excited to let you guys know how it works. It will still be a couple of months, but I can't wait to see how it works. They also have a 24 volt mini split for people running larger set ups. Here is their website for those looking for more information in the meantime. https://www.rigidhvac.com/online-order
