Need Some Advice!!!
I graduated with a bachelors in economics in December 2021 (debt free) I graduated with a 3.5 GPA. I travelled internationally for 6 months after graduating and started looking for work in about July 2022. It’s been 2 years and I still haven’t got a corporate job. I’ve been looking for analyst roles. I’m at the point now of Anything expanded: Business Analyst, compliance analyst or investment analyst. Etc (willing to relocate anywhere)
When I was in college I had interviews for internships but they all got cancelled because of the pandemic and I decided to become a full time student taking 5-6 classes a semester.
Since graduating I’ve been working in retail. I’ve had interviews with major companies like Goldman Sachs and Marriott Corp. , have attended career fairs and I have paid for resume services to no avail. Recruiter either tell me they’ll get back to me (which they don’t) or tell me to go to grad school (but I don’t have the money) and I don’t take out Loans.
It also stresses me how when I talk to recruiters one of the first questions they ask me is “who do you know here?” It’s like what was the point of even going to college if you can swindle someone in and train them?”
Welp ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Since then I’ve been working on my Python programming skills for fun building my own little statistical projects.
I just want to keep this short. Let me know what you think.
