I come from an IT background and have had a career quite related to that. So far I have done work as a programmer, business analyst, teacher and was involved in making the IT textbook for a few schools (content and the authoring part).
However I have always hated working. Initially I thought it was just the specific environment or the pay or certain managers but I have come to realise I just hate working. I have worked in a corporate setting, startup and also in a charity org. I have had great managers and micro managers as well. There was even a time I was kind of the unofficial manager for a team. I thought maybe it's the whole IT thing and did a temp career switch and went into retail sales and advanced to management as well. I still feel the same. I dread every single moment and count the seconds to the end of the work week.
I understand that not everybody is working their passion or working their dream job. But I kinda thought atleast most people would have some sort of tolerance and acceptance to the work they are doing.
I don't know if this is an issue that most people are facing or if its something personally wrong with me? Kinda hate thinking about the future as I hate the present and thinking that this is how things will be in the future makes me feel stressed.
Would like to hear your genuine advice on these and thank you for your time.
