At a fork in the road
Post Body

I’ve been in my current role for almost 7 years…doing the same work. We get new projects but it’s more of the same And everyone I ever had a work friendship with has left. I pretty much hate it at this point and I have no interest in the work anymore.

I’ve been interviewing aggressively for about a month and finally received an offer. But it’s a contract role (1 year, with renewal available). It come with a 45% pay increase from what I make currently and is in a pretty exciting industry (Professional Sports) with the job title I want. This role will possibly open up other opportunities.

I’m also waiting to hear back from another company which is my #1 choice. I went through 9 rounds of interviews and I’m waiting to hear their decision. I emailed the recruiter to let her know I had an offer and what their timeline is on making a decision and I didn’t get a response. I emailed her this morning.

I’m really not sure what to do. Should I leave my full-time job for a couple Tracy job with better pay? And should I email the recruiter again tomorrow?
