Dual monitor stand recommendations for desk with obligatory shelves

Post Body

Hey folks, I just moved into a furnished apartment with a desk that has two shelves that are screwed into it. I'm kind of stuck with the desk until I move out (in a year). Does anyone know of a dual monitor desk mount with particularly long and flexible arms? I'd like to clamp the mount on the back of the desk so that I can fit the arms through the back of the first shelf.

What I'm thinking here is if I can find a way to do this then I'd just sacrifice the storage space of the first shelf (the one without the books), and have my monitors either there, or sticking out through there... if that makes sense.

I probably wouldn't be able to have very large monitors, and that's ok. Thinking maybe 20'' to 22''. The dimensions of the shelf are: 11.5'' deep X 10'' tall X 43'' long, and from the desk to base of the shelf in question is just over 16''

I was thinking something like this, but can't seem to find anything with a long enough arms. I was also considering 2 single mounts instead like this or this, but ran into similar issues.

Can anyone recommend a mount (or mounts) that would work? I'm also open to any other solutions you might have.

Look forward to hearing from you all-- thanks in advance.

Btw, drilling into the wall isn't an option because it would void the rental agreement... fml
