What monitor or tv should I buy?

What would you guys suggest for a gaming monitor or tv? I hear monitor are better but more expensive and I’m wondering how much better are they compared to just a tv? Is it worth it to get one? What pros and cons are there to a tv over a monitor?
In general what are your experiences with them? I’m not looking for some dinky little thing, but I don’t need an entire wall of a screen
