Hello! I'm looking for a long overdue new for my PC. For reference, my GPU is rtx 3060.
I want a 1440p screen that supports higher refresh rates (for older games mostly, I know the 3060 is not the most powerful) with g-sync support. If it supports Freesync as well it's a nice addition, since I want my next GPU to be an AMD one, but it's far in the future so it's far from a requirement.
This will be my first screen that supports a refresh rate higher than 60hz, so I doubt I will notice the difference between 144 and 165.
After browsing 6 different stores, I narrowed it down to two options: Asus TUF VG27AQZ and Dell S2721DGFA. I watched several reviews online, and they both seem relatively even?
From what I understood, the dell has a better response time and therefor it's recommended for competitive gaming, while the Asus has a better picture quality. Is that correct? If I mainly play single player games, and definitely nothing competitive, should I go with the Asus?
Thank you for reading!
Edit: forgot to add, the Asus screen is over 40 usd cheaper here.
