Looking to build a SOLID Plex server on Windows 10.
Post Body

What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.

  • Looking to build a Plex server that'll host 8-10 people with mostly 1080p content. I am planning on running it on windows 10 for ease. I want to replace my current 24tb windows 10 server that I am running now with something more powerful.

What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?

  • Flexible. Looking for strong bang for the buck. Im willing to entertain many price points if they make sense.

When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.

  • As soon as I have a list of parts in place and everyone on board with the price

What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (Tower/OS/monitor/keyboard/mouse/etc)

  • I need a CPU, motherboard, ram, and would like to be able to run 10 sata drives with either expansion cards or onboard sata ports. Maybe a cooler if its needed.

Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?

  • Im in the US with a Microcenter 20 min away.

If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.

  • Im keeping my 850 watt power supply, case, and gpu. The server is headless so no other peripherals are needed.

Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?

  • No overclocking

Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)

  • Looking for large amounts of storage. Im considering six either 6 or 8tb drives to start with. I plan on running them in windows storage spaces as it has served me well over the years.

What type of network connectivity do you need? (Wired and/or WiFi) If WiFi is needed and you would like to find the fastest match for your wireless router, please list any specifics.

  • Wired. Gigabit will be plenty for my needs. Wifi is not needed

Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-tower/full-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?

  • Nope

Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?

  • Ive got windows covered.

Extra info or particulars: I know Ill get some flack for windows 10 and storage spaces, but I plan to hand this server over to be maintained by someone who is not that tech savy. The simpler the software side is, the better.
