Hey guys and gals, I'm looking to upgrade my performance on the cheap from my GTX 970 to something a touch better and frustratingly, it looks as though my mobo supports crossfire but not SLI (go figure) so getting another 970 is out of the question, so I came across a deal for 2 R9 290 GPUs for $200, about the same price as a typical 970 second hand where I am,
It's hard to find many benchmarks or vs videos with the 290 in crossfire, but it seems ok from the little I have seen,
So the question is basically, is an R9 290 crossfire combo a good solution for a cheap upgrade? Or should I stick to a single card etc etc
Thanks guys!
