As the title says, I'm aiming to build a pc which won't have any problems playing a certain range of games to a decent standard, but not necessarily up to "I can't believe that's not real" sort of level. Primarily, it would just be a Skyrim and Total War machine but I have a fair few games on steam which it would be nice to have a proper go at and I'd be glad if I could reasonably expect to play new games for the next couple of years.
My main problem is I don't know much about hardware. I know the basics and I've read a couple of guides but after a certain point it pretty much came down to me going "That name sounds cooler". I don't particularly want to get involved in over-clocking because that seems beyond my ability, so I thought the stock coolers would be good enough but I might be wrong. My other concern is that it might be sacrilegious, for want of a better word, to buy some of this and not put it to full use but I might be misjudging the situation again.
Anyway, here is the list of parts and the total cost is about £1350/$2000. Thanks for your time, I hope I didn't waste too much of it.
