Post Body

Im planning upgrading my i5-4670k to a new i7-4790k. I have never upgraded my CPU before and am wondering if there are any steps that I am not aware of. I know my motherboard has the appropriate socket, so I figure I can just remove my i5, install the i7 and boot. I know there is a chance windows my say my OS is invalid with the hardware change. Is there anything I am missing or should know about?
