So, I bought the book pretty soon after it came out (I'd planned to pre-order it but I was skint and then forgot and then life got in the way...) and then stuff at my work took off and after the first few pages were unsolvable immediately I chucked the book on the bookshelf and ignored it. I've been following this sub and all the other gossip online, and finally my husband and I have time to actually work on this together.
My understanding from the interview with Alex that was posted in here a few days ago with an escape room company is that we are now... not using the grid in the book? Has the concept completely changed? Should we still be working on the book clues and grid? I'm assuming we need to do that to work out the Zoom code for the monthly meetings to get a live clue from Alex?
Also, how do I know if Alex is tweeting a clue? I've seen a tweet where he specifically says 'this is a clue', but I've seen people here referring to fake clues set up by other people... and I'm honestly lost with it all. Is anyone willing to explain all this to me (what to look for, how to recognise a fake clue...) without actually giving me any major spoilers, because I do actually want to do this myself, but honestly my husband and I are working on this together and we are so busy and drained at the end of the day I feel like we're being super thick and just not seeing the obvious!
I realise these are very vague questions but I guess I'm just looking for some guidance around the grid and then the twitter clues, without spoilers. Thanks in advance!
