Following the successful landing of Curiosity on Mars, I got to thinking about the possibility of other alien life sending rovers to other planets. Then I thought that could make for a good story. We send a rover to some planet that has yet to be explored only to find that some other species did it before us.

Anyway, I'm kind of hoping someone has already ventured into this area because I think I'd really enjoy reading a story that takes off from those beginnings
