Hello fellow board gamers,
My partner and I got Descent: Journey in the Dark second edition on the weekend and when we unboxed the game when we got home I saw all the miniatures and immediately got pretty excited, thinking how I'm going to do it. I have painted talisman, relic miniatures and also I have a chaos space marine army painted (that's another subreddit I need to post to). My technique is usually base paint and then wash them in a certain colour that suits the monster and then drybrush for highlights, it's not exactly display quality but I like to think its good enough to pass tabletop quality.
My real question about painting these suckers: What is the best way to tackle them? Should I go by monster group (paint cave spiders then goblin archers etc) or just prime and base them all? My girlfriend also suggested do the monsters earlier in the quest guide.
Love to hear your reply! Also, I would love to see your paint jobs for inspiration. :)
Thanks guys!
