I love games, and will play basically anything with sound mechanics and a decent group of people. But sometimes my wife and friends don't see the elegance of some games the same way that i do. For me Dominant Species and Libertalia get nothing but sighs of despair from my wife. Dominant Species is fiddly, but it makes me think harder than any other game in my collection. And Libertalia just strikes a chord with me - it's simple, and fun, and I don't even mind getting screwed over when it happens. I just feel like I can always find the "beauty" in a game, and am willing to play and respect the game, but my group is less patient.
Is there anything that you guys just can't get your group to like as much as you do?
