Post Body

Hey guys. Pretty new to blender. followed a tutorial on creating characters in Blender. I'm having an issue with my lay-out view. As you see in this image, there is a weird black area bar at the bottom. this bar is normally there when you have several area's in the same view open, but I only have one area open. no matter what I try, that thing just stays there in lay-out view. Does anyone have an idea how to get rid of it?

Annoying black bar in Lay-out view

As you can see, it doesn't move when an Area is moved. It's only there on this blender file, I must have done something while removing/shifting an area, but I'm clueless as to what.
