Parang using mild steel from railroad spike, what kind of angle should be put on the edge?

I understand there are far superior metals for this but I'd like to not discuss that.

The question is what angle to use for the edge. Should it be something like at 45 degrees or something like 60 degrees? Or something else? What edge would be easier to maintain with low carbon steel?

Primary use would be as a chopper against small 2" wood branches.
