So, I Nanny for a YT family. They live out in the country in TX. I never wore my hair out before. When I first met the baby I could tell she was one of those baby where a little change can make her nervous until she is use to you. So, for months now I've just been doing slick back ponytails, low buns, braids out of my face, or individual twist that I pull back in a ponytail. Last night, I didn't feel like doing my hair. I simply just twisted and took them out this morning for a twist out. I felt like the baby should be use to me by now so seeing me with my hair out she may be a lil nervous at first but we should be cool after a min a two. Mom and Baby are sleep when I come in. So a few moments later dad walks out. He says hey good morning and then laughs a little and says something along the lines of What's up with your hair? Is this a new hair style or something or have I not been paying attention..... I let out a lil nervous laugh 😃 😀 and touch my hair like no, I put twist in laugh night and took them out this morning and just wearing my hair out. He turns a little red and you can tell the laugh turns into a bit of a nervous laugh. We discuss the baby and how she woke up early etc and he grabs a snack goes back to his office. He usually makes coffee or a little breakfast. I think he felt a little embarrassed idk... it did kind of make me feel insecure to wear my hair out around them now. I already haven't been liking my hair out lately. I use to love it out but idk what's been up with it. It falls way different than what it use to. But now.... like I never want to wear my hair out with them again though. I'm def wearing a pony or plating it tonight or something. I just wish YT people would watch what they say and how they say things..I know they don't get out much and they work from home, no TV or anything but I definitely feel like they should have seen at least a gee in their life time with natural hair out. I added a pic for reference...
