Thank you to everyone here^
Life is hard, but all of you have made it a bit better ❤️
Storytime: twenty years ago, without queer education via youtube, instagram and publicly available role-models, my friends and me we're lost.
Turns out, my best friend from twenty years back is gay - we reconnected two months ago, after he 'broke up' with me, way-back then - He didn't know how to tell me, that he had fallen in love with me. Years later, he not only feels safe enough in society to be openly gay, but he also felt emotionally safe enough to reach out to me.
My other friend (and lover from twenty years back), who's now married with a kid, admitted to me two weeks ago, that she also has affairs with women aswell - as a result we've been able to see eachother in a new light, able to understand and know oneanother more deeply...
...especially since I am overcoming past trauma and thus have been able to explore my bisexuality or even pansexuality of late.
Whilst my friends from the Generation Z have educated me on my sexuality being 'pan', neither of my old friends or me have really been able to accept the bread. There simply wasn't any twenty years ago.
But there was bi. And thanks to all of thee, we now know and live on all the colors of the rainbow 🌈
It's a slow process and many in the world do sadly not yet have the education or more importantly: the safety to live-out their dreams openly. But all you old-folkers, with your old-street-battles, and all you new-kids, with your new pronoms are changing the world into a better tomorrow step-by-step.
