Shimano part availability going forward, non-current models
Post Body

As the owner of most of an Ultegra 6800 groupset that has or will recently become last-gen, I'm wondering when I need to think about stockpiling wear parts (chainrings, mostly). How long do the big online shops typically stock previous generation parts? Or is availability not a concern for several years?

(I sort of assume R8000 cassettes will just be compatible with 6800. Hopefully that's true. But the 6800 crank spider is kind of funky, so I don't know about its compatibility.)

Thanks!
