I remember being very frustrated as a kid doing sports. I hated wearing that cup and would often lie about wearing one from it being so restrictive. And then of course it was embarrassing bringing it up to my dad because why was there only one size available? Maybe they made bigger ones but as a pre-teen it didn’t seem like it. Couldn’t see any other sizes in the store, and I couldn’t for the life of me understand why companies would make such a universally poor fitting product.
The thought of me being big never even came to mind. It wasn’t me who was big, it was the cups that were too small.
