First cold with baby, how do we get through this?
Post Body

She's 7 weeks. Yesterday we went swimming as normal, and she's usually pretty tired afterwards so I wasn't surprised she slept the rest of the morning. But she also slept the rest of the afternoon. When she woke up she was alert enough, but just wanted to cuddle, eat and go back to sleep. She also started spitting up after every feed. She didn't seem to mind, but naturally I phoned my mum and asked her what to do. The advice was keep an eye on her, but with no temperature or lethargy no Dr will care that my baby has spit up a touch and is sleeping well. Fair enough.

By night time I could barely breathe. I can't count the number of times I've sneezed on her. I feel terrible and barely slept.

She slept wonderfully, waking up for regular feeds but going straight back to sleep, still doesn't have a temperature, and doesn't sound congested when she's breathing.

I'm breastfeeding her, is this what's holding it off? Or is she actually feeling really shit with no way to tell me? There's surely no way she's going to escape this, we're joined at the hip.

Obviously if she starts showing any symptoms I'll call for real medical advice, but is there anything I can do in the meantime to keep us both alive aside from using dettol wipes on everything I touch, and drinking lots of water?
