Can't help but draw parallels between both of these "deaths". Each man cleanses himself at his own altar (whether that be at a cartel meet for a gangster or a court case for a lawyer), on his own terms, making the harder choice to reclaim his soul and align themselves with love and honor.
In Rock & Hard Place, Nacho is backed into a corner and ultimately humbles himself, submitting to his master (Gus) and choosing the love of his father over self preservation. He could have chosen to put his master in his place, and make a mockery of him, but he doesn't, and swallows his pride as he shoots himself dead in front of his peers. Mike bares witness stoically in the background, one person who truly recognized the good in Nacho when others failed to see it. Mike returns to pay his respects to Nacho by visiting his father; a physical and metaphorical "fence" separates the two characters, both on opposite sides of the law.
In Saul Gone, Saul is backed into a corner and ultimately humbles himself, submitting to his master (the law) and choosing the love and respect of Kim over self preservation. He could have chosen to put his master in his place, and make a mockery of the justice system yet again, but he doesn't, and swallows his pride as he implicates himself in front of his peers, essentially killing off his Saul persona to revert back to Jimmy McGill. Kim bares witness stoically in the background, one person who truly recognized the good in Jimmy when others failed to see it. Kim returns to show her affection for Jimmy by visiting him in jail; upon exiting there is a fence separating the two characters, both on opposite sides of the law.
Probably not intentional but it still has a nice thematic connection and helps better tie Nacho's arc in with the main plot in my mind.
