I've been on Clonazepam for a couple of years -2mg a day. Doctor moved me to Alprazolam. I'm curious to know how you guys feel after 1mg of Alprazolam?

How do you feel? How long does it take it to kick in? Any other information you might think is useful is welcome as well.

I still have my Clonazepam. Wanted to taper off, but was starting to get sort of panic attacks (unrelated) and knew that Clonazepam is great for relieving them.

Side note - I'm not a massive lover of Benzos as I know the horror of withdrawal. I went without Clonazepam for a week one time and felt things I'd never felt before.

Anyway, I went to see my psychiatrist and said I'd like to taper off Clonazepam, but somehow I walked out with a prescription for 3 boxes of 2mg Alprazolam ( you can buy 30x2mg for US$2 in the pharmacy) and 2x70mg of Vyvanse. My doc legit asks me how much I want of whatever med and I always feel too scared to say "as much as possible" 🤣. But he gives the most he can anyway haha

1mg Alprazolam makes me sort of relaxed after a while, but it's probably only 2mg that truly relieves my anxiety.I thought it would kick in a lot quicker. It's takes an hour sometimes to feel it. My main fear is coming off it! Having said this, sometimes I feel nothing until I consciously take account and think " fuck, I feel pretty chill right now".

That's a quick summary. Over to you guys. Experiences welcome; especially answering my questions from the beginning of this post 🤙
