When I was a kid I thought that all or most females get at least a little tummy after puberty regardless of how fit they are. Now that I’m in my 20s and crop tops are in, I’ve noticed that a solid 50% of the girls in my age group that I see in an average day have completely flat or even concave stomachs in spite of appearing to be a healthy weight and eating normally. I try not to compare myself, but I can’t help but feel really unhappy with my tummy. I’m quite thin, am on my feet 8 hours most days, and have a pretty healthy diet but I always have a tummy and am prone to bloating. My self esteem is super low right now and I really don’t know what to think or do to get over this stupid hang up. Is everyone else exercising hard in all of their free time to achieve the flat tummy? Did I just get a bad deal in the genes lottery or am I doing something wrong?
EDIT: I thought that I was in a good enough place to have this discussion, but I’m finding that some comments are weighing more heavily on my mind than others and some old demons are rearing their ugly heads. I am no longer looking for advice, please don’t DM me with diet tips. Stay safe.
