As of today, here are the division's regular season Win-Loss records over the past 2 years, ranked by winning percentage
AL East: 887-733 (.548)
NL East: 837-783 (.517)
NL West: 827-793 (.510)
AL West: 788-832 (.486)
NL Central: 781-839 (.482)
AL Central: 740-880 (.457)
And here are their postseason Win-Loss Records, again, ranked by winning percentage
AL West: 20-6 (.769)
AL Central: 7-5 (.583)
NL West: 11-11 (.500)
NL East: 13-14 (.481)
AL East: 3-17 (.150)
NL Central: 0-4 (.000)
And if we exclude divisions playing within themselves, the AL West's Dominance is more apparent
AL West: 17-3 (.850)
AL Central: 7-5 (.583)
NL East: 9-7 (.563)
NL West: 9-9 (.500)
AL East: 3-17 (.150)
NL Central: 0-4 (.000)
I really enjoy just looking through large data sets, and after Baltimore's loss, I was wondering just how much the AL East was falling in the postseason. Let me know if there's a better way I could present the data or some other data you'd rather see!
