Do you think I was a lil too hard on this guy?

Sooo. Someone same rank as me on kgs. I noticed a lot of people around 6-3 kyu are unreasonably attack happy. They generally care more about disrupting what their opponent is making vs securing themselves before attacking.
During the review I told my opponent at the end of the game (same rank as me 4kyu) that he should probably focus more on securing himself before pressuring me otherwise his groups are gonna keep dieing. He called me an ass and stormed out. (I'm black in this game)
