Axolotl staying at corner of the tank

Post Body

I’ve had an axolotl for about a year now and when I got him, he was a little baby. I had him in a 10 gallon tank with a couple of hides, that’s it. He’s gotten really big now so I moved him into a 25 gallon tank (yes, I made sure to leave the tank on for a few days but with the filter off because I added sand to the bottom of the tank). All the parameters are good and so are all the levels. I wasn’t in the country for about a week but my dad took care of him while I was gone. He’s the one that got me into the hobby of aquariums and he knows exactly how to take care of the axie. He moved him into the new tank while I was away, I think just a few days ago. Ever since my axolotl has been in his new tank, he’s been staying in one corner of the tank. He’s not facing the corner, I know that’s a sign of stress. He has coconut hides and a cave plus the sand in there, nothing else really. Can anyone tell me if there’s something wrong with him? I know adult axolotls are very inactive but I’m still concerned as I think he’s not a full adult yet (he’s about 8 inches/20 cm long)
