Description: Maximilian Oakheart, or Max, to family and friends, resides in Old Oak as it’s Castellan in his nephew's name, one of the many who claim descent from the Greenhand’s numerous children from the Oakheart line. Due to his brother's ails before he passed, Maximillian became castellan in his name, then his nephews when Owen Oakheart passed away. When his nephew, Arthur, returned to take the reigns, Max did his best to help him learn the ways of lordship, taking the time to teach his nephew on his holdings and the lands around them.

HISTORY

Born to the reigning Lord and Lady of Old Oak, Maximillian was the youngest of several children, one of whom was his brother, the soon-to-be Lord Owen Oakheart.

His childhood was a happy one, raised alongside his siblings by his parents, learning the ways lordship, though the chance of inheriting Old Oak was little-to-none, a notion that Max did not mind. Content with his lot in life, though a studious child, Maximillian grew into a competent and kind man, doing his best to help his brother shoulder the burdens of lordship when their father passed. Soon after that, Max married Lady Alicia, a noblewomen of a lesser House, a match of love, if anything else, proven true when Elias Oakheart was born, just a year after Max's nephew Arthur.

When his brother fell ill, it was Max who bore the burden of ruling Old Oak, becoming castellan in all but name. A lesser man might have used the opportunity to usurp his brother, with his heir absent, but Max was no such man, and neither Alicia or Elias would stand for. Then Own passed, and, mourning his brother taken far too soon, Maximillian sent word to Arthur who was warding in Highgarden at the time, and prepared for his nephew's return.

Arthur, open his return to Old Oak, appointed Maximillian the official Castellan of Old Oak, and, in turn, he has done his bets to aid and counsel his nephew in the ways of lordship. However, with the Royal Court fracturing under the succession dispute, Maximillian finds himself placing his trust in his nephew to do right by their House, in both his loyalty to Highgarden and in his duties to Old Oak...
