Should I bring a Totem to a rave?

I’m thinking about building a totem for my group this year because we’ve never had one before. Another reason is that my group this year is a bit bigger than usual (16-18 people), and I think it would be easier to spot our group with a totem.

However, I’ve read some threads about what people think about totems. Some comments are positive, saying they enjoy them, but more than half find them annoying because they can block their view, or they just don’t like them.

I don’t want to be the annoying person at the rave or block anyone’s view. What do you think? p/s: It’s a outdoor, 3 days festival.
