advice for quitting job
Post Body

hey everyone,

i know that this isn’t a job focused sub but i feel like you guys could provide a bit more nuance lol. i was diagnosed with autism in my early 20s, im 22 now, female.

i am planning on resigning from my job. i’ve worked jobs i don’t like before, but this is an entire new level of hell, and they keep adding things onto my job description like working third shift twice a month (it’s a first shift desk job?) and working weekends (was hired on a mon-fri basis). i have come home and had meltdowns three times in the past week and i just literally can’t.

i plan on handing in my two weeks some time this week. however, i anticipate they will be angry with me. this is a summer job, so i feel like there’s this expectation to just tough it out. additionally, all of my projects will be given to my coworkers, increasing their workload.

the anxiety of this situation is really killing me. does anyone have any advice on what to do or what to expect, even if they’re mad at me?
