Hey guys! This may be obvious, but I don't actually see it recommended that often. I'm on EP13, so I don't know if the ending is satisfying (yesterday I finished The Black Tapes and went "THAT'S THE LAST EPISODE??" so I'm a little edgy, lol!)
A detective, Sam Bailey, is digitizing a series of tapes recorded by horror writer Anna Sheridan, who went missing. I can't really give spoilers because I still don't know what's happening- but the novelist has a great spooky "It Makes a Sound" vibes and the detective has a really great voice (though that could just be my personal preference, sounds young/charming, a lot like the guy from The Message.) The show is horror-themed, and likely supernatural- there is some swearing though, so be advised if you'll need headphones for that!
Sam Bailey also clearly has...more going on than is revealed, though I didn't fully get it yet. It's fun and exciting, but also at this point fairly easy to listen to while I work on sewing projects. Anna Sheridan (sorry to this lovely actress- I don't remember her name!) also has a really beautiful performance here. Bittersweet and melancholy, but doesn't feel put on.
I love investigative journalism ADs that piece together enigmatic threads- and this definitely fits the bill. The production is pretty standard fare I think (I am an audio novice so it could be next level- I am impressed by anyone who can even make a podcast!) but it is crisp, clear, easy to hear. (I have APD so this is a big win!)

I think you'd like it. So far, I'm a fan. I listen on Spotify, but here's a link: https://thesheridantapes.podbean.com/
P.S. in their patreon announcement, the main character reads out their patrons, and I'm pretty sure he always mentions his parents. I just think that's so cute, it made me wanna keep listening just for that. (But it is really good, lol!)
