This is coming from an AP (dating an FA) but is probably relevant to other attachment styles and pairings as well...
How do you ask for āre-assuranceā without coming across as needy, demanding, or smothering?
Obviously part of our growth work as APs is to become better at self-soothing so that we donāt need continual reassurance, but even a secure person has a fundamental need to be reassured on some level that might go unmet.
What way have you found of communicating this need effectively and compassionately? And are there specific things youāve asked your partner to do to provide reassurance?
