Coping with waiting times
Post Body

I've been on the waiting list in my country (the Netherlands) for the past 4-5 years. I've only had 1 appointment so far starting this year which was for my intake, which I thought would be the end of waiting.

However since then it's been another 6 months and there still hasn't been any news from them since. I've messaged them but they keep saying I just have to wait until they schedule an appointment for the gender psychologist, and that they cannot say when this would be.

I'm slowly getting more and more depressed since I've wanted to transition from when I was 18, because I didn't want to develop more as my AGAB, but now it's been so long that I am less and less confident about my looks for after I transition (if they ever message me).

How do you cope with waiting? I have a lot of trouble continuing my live regularly because it's constantly on my mind and it hinders me in doing regular things on a daily basis (cleaning, cooking, etc.). Does anyone have tips on dealing with this?

TL;DR: Have been waiting on transitioning for so long, I don't know how to cope with it anymore.
