What’s the white thing next to my implant?
Post Body

I had an extraction/implant done on 09/10/2024 due to a failed root canal/root fracture. The abscess was near the top of the tooth rather than deep below and I suspect that side has had a slower time healing as a result. I’m wondering what the white thing is and if it appears to be healing normally. I’m supposed to have impressions done in January. For added context I originally had a larger abutment (7?) but surgeon swapped to a 5? to aid in gum healing on 10/08.
