Pain then Not Pain
Post Body

I hope someone here can put my mind at ease. Last month I felt a “flutter” in a tooth on the right side of my face. It developed into pain, and soon I had pain in my right temple, head and ear.

A week ago an endodontist did a “coldness” test (? — using canned air and a cotton swab) on me and diagnosed me as needing a root canal. After that test I had pretty bad pain for three days, then it subsided.

Right now I barely notice the area. My dental insurance isn’t the best. It covers the root canal treatment, but an authorization usually takes two weeks. I have an appt. 10 days from now to treat it.

I do not smoke, drink a few times a year, and am not aware of health conditions that might be involved.

Having no pain right now is what concerns me (not that I enjoy pain!). Is there anything I should be concerned about? Thank you in advance.
