Trying to buy a used car under 8k

I’m trying to buy a cheaper used car that I can use to get to work and basic stuff, I can buy it in cash but I don’t want to use the money I have as a down payment because my credit isn’t the best so any finance offers I get are like 18% APR. I was looking at a 2012 Hyundai sonata SE for like 6.6k or a 2011 Kia sorento for 7.3k. Are either of these by decent cars? I’m so desperate just to get a car I know I’m rushing the process but I basically need to get one asap.
