Why does the app (version 4.0.3) look different on my friend’s phone?

I granted doorbell access to a friend, he accepted but nothing shows up in his app.
We both have the same version 4.0.3 but the interface looks different (both iOS). His has 5 options at the bottom, starting with dashboard. Mine has 4, starting with devices.
