Noob and building my first rifle!
Post Body

Hey guys! I wanted some help with building my end all be all battle rifle. I was eyeing the Haley Jack Carbine, but with a baby on the way that isn't a price tag the wife will not sign off on. Can you guys help me build one similar to the Jack? I want to invest under $1200 in total. No optics for now, just irons. I'm not a super operator, I will mostly have a light mounted on my rifle, so I don't need tons of rail space.

I have the following: Anderson stripped lower Anderson lower parts kit (not fond of the trigger) Magpull MOE pistol grip

I want this rifle to be battle ready, I will be taking it to the range as well as taking carbine classes with it. What other parts would you guys recommend? I will want this rifle to be one of four tools to protect my family. I live in Mebane, NC so if there are any folks near by that want to chime in that would be helpful.

Thanks reddit family!
