Hey all - on the AR-15/10 I have, I the rear of the bolt is open allowing for the buffer extension to be added on. However, on my AR-45 & AR-9, the rear of the bolt is closed (and thus I cannot add the buffer extension).
Question 1: Can I shoot without this extension? I reading online, yes, but at the price of recoil.
Question 2: Any reason I cant just jb weld (or actually weld) the provided extension to the closed rear of the bolt?
Question 3: Is drilling out the rear of the bolt to accept the extension a terrible idea?
TIA!
