can't pay the bills? better start saving!
Post Body

To make this quick, I've been working minimum wage for sometime as I've been unable to land any better jobs in like 10 years of trying. I barely make my bills each month and found my car needs some major repairs as the catalytic converter is dying/died. Mechanic estimated around $1000 and I'm just trying to make ends meet. I'm lucky to save $100 a month. At best that's $1200 in savings a year. But when you calculate car repairs, house maintenance, and other living expenses I'm lucky if I have anything in savings ever. I've been trying to save for this repair for over a year and then my job let's me go mid November last year. I've been unable to find work since. Till I find a new job my friends have been paying my bills in exchange for a ride to work. But if the car legit dies, then they can't work. Bills won't get paid. We lose the house, and all because jobs either won't hire, and don't pay a supportable wage. Everyone suggests just save up but when you have nothing to save after food, gas, bills, and other nessessities, it's not really an option.
