Is it possible to lose *too much* weight on antidepressants? Wellbutrin 300mg once daily.
Post Body

I’m a 21 year old female, 5’7 and I’m pretty sure I was 140 pounds when I started taking this medication in February this year. I started Wellbutrin to help with my depression, never really had any weight problems. My brother also takes the same medication and dose. We have both dropped 20 pounds since starting. I am 117 as of right now. I wouldn’t say my eating habits have changed too much as I probably ate once, twice a day before starting. Usually a good amount of food.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else that didn’t previously have weight problems/ didn’t start Wellbutrin to lose weight have a similar experience? Did things eventually level out for you? Just wondering if I should be concerned (I’m going to talk to my doctor, although I’m hesitant because I’m afraid of having to switch as this medication has helped my mental health tremendously)

Thank you!
