I have a question for you all. What happened? I'm not trying to be judgmental here, but AP used to be a community. I've been gone for a while so I may have missed something. My working hypothesis is griefers. I understand the frustration of losing something you worked for. But something that saddens me more is the emptiness.
I know there are still some out there. Some of you who wish to build and explore. So I have a proposition. Leaving the server empty is not going to bring new people to us. Not building is not going to bring people to us. What will do that, I think, is something like in the days of old. When users came together with a common cause, to build and survive not on their own, but as one community. I remember the glory of Riverton and I want to recreate that here. It's a perfect spot. Those who want to build can go topside, those that want to dig can stay groundside. Perfect areas for farming. Strategically defensible, if anything in Minecraft can be said to be so. This is something that demands to be built upon.
I don't know how many of you will even see this, but I hope that I reach some of you. And I beg of you, even if you think this is ridiculous, don't let this server slip away into one of the hundreds of abandoned servers that are out there. Don't go gentle into that good night.
