Outpatient program or therapy?
Post Body

Hello! I’m 24 and have been struggling with alcohol abuse since I was 14. Ive gotten to the point of my life where I don’t black out every time I drink but times that I do it’s bad. I’m tired of it so I finally decided to do something about it. I’ve tried quitting on my own before without treatments or therapy but I always end up convincing myself that I’m better now and can control the amount I drink. Which is never the case. So now that I am realizing I can’t do this alone I’m wondering if you guys think I should try for an outpatient program or just start normal therapy sessions? Has anyone tried both and can speak to their experience as to which they liked better? I’ve had therapists before but it’s never been for the purpose of getting sober.
