Hi Reddit airplane enthusiasts! So my dad’s birthday is coming up. He’s the kind of man who buys himself whatever he wants, so I have to get creative with gifts.

He has two planes, a Piper Arrow and a Beechcraft Musketeer that my mom refers to as his “mistresses.” He spends all his free time either flying or maintaining his planes. He’s extremely hands-on and has been cosmetically rehabbing them both — we’re talking even learned how to properly paint the damn things and bought all the bells and whistles to do so.

He’s got top of the line everything that you’d normally think of (like ear protection for example) but I’m trying to figure out something different and unique that he likely wouldn’t even think to buy but could be useful.

Trying to keep it under $150, but there’s a little wiggle room. Is there anything airplane-related you have that you love and feel is kind of unique?
