What's your "I brought myself to the emergency room alone" story as an adult?

Post Body

I was on the verge of bringing myself to the emergency room alone kahapon ng madaling araw. I thought I was gonna die. I was experiencing all sorts of pains, severe stomachache, diarrhea, cold sweats nausea, to the point that I even passed out in my bathroom for about 10 minutes bago ako naging okay, enough for me to clean up and bring myself to bed.

When I woke up after that episode, nag self-pity ako for not having anyone in that type of emergency situation, to the point na ako pa magdadala sa sarili ko sa ER.

But I thought, maybe most adults experience that? Baka normal lang to kapag adult ka na mag-isa.

I live alone and had a bad acid reflux. Akala ko pa that time COVID kasi sobrang sakit ng lalamunan ko at nasusuka na ewan. Tinanong pa ng nurse if may kasama ako and I kinda felt bad for myself that I can’t rely on anyone during times like that. Hahaha.
